From an idea to a file a factory can build from
A factory cannot quote a description, and it cannot make the same thing twice from one. This stage turns your concept into the drawings, models and specifications a manufacturer needs — dimensions with tolerances, materials named to a standard, components identified by part number, finishes specified, and a bill of materials that ties all of it together.
"Manufacturing-ready" is a specific condition rather than a compliment. It means every dimension carries a tolerance, so the factory knows which ones matter. It means materials are named to a grade rather than described by colour. It means every bought-in component — the switch, the bearing, the fastener — has a part number and a source, so a substitution is a decision somebody makes rather than something that quietly happens.
The tech pack is the document the rest of the project runs on. It is what goes out to factories for quotation, what the prototype is measured against, what the production run is inspected against, and what you hand to a different manufacturer if you ever change one. A weak tech pack is the single most expensive thing in product development, because every problem it fails to prevent arrives later and larger.
Revisions are expected and planned for. The first version of a design is a proposal; the version that goes to tooling is one that has survived a manufacturability review and, usually, a prototype.
Where a product needs registered engineering sign-off — structural loading, pressure equipment, electrical safety approvals — that is identified here and brought in as a named specialist. It is not folded into the design fee and it is not something we hold ourselves out to provide.
